Ingredients
Handful of oats1tbsp flaxseeds
Handful of blueberries
1 apple
Half a cantaloupe melon
200ml orange juice
High cholesterol may be partly down to unfortunate genetics, but this smoothie should still help to unclog your arteries and reduce your risk of heart disease. The oats are rich in cholesterol-lowering soluble fibre, while the flaxseeds contain lecithin to emulsify fat and cholesterol. Blend them with the fruit and juice, which is high in cholesterol-reducing vitamins C and E.
