Soothe your throat

If you've got a gullet that feels like sandpaper, get this healthy smoothie down it

Ingredients

1 peach, stoned
Half a cup of green tea, chilled with a few ice cubes
Half a banana
1tbsp honey
Handful of strawberries
Handful of ice cubes

Smoothies are great for when eating is as much fun as gargling with drawing pins. Blend the strawberries, which are rich in immune system-boosting vitamin C, peach, which contains infection-fighting betacarotene, and green tea, which helps fight bacteria. Add the honey, which will soothe your throat and sweeten the bitter tea. Finally, add the bananas, a great source of easily digested energy if you can’t face a big meal. Drinking it ice-cold will help lower a high temperature.
